Well Sarah looks
like a delicate beauty, with her grace, thoughtful pose and porcelain skin, but
she’s not really very delicate.
Actually, she’s a world-class skier! She’s also an awesome model that is very professional and a pleasure
to work with. She has a very
bright future!
Tip for photographers: When I met Sarah I knew right away that I wanted to do this lighting setup to show off her fair complexion. This is the three light technique popularized by Joel Grimes (google him). There are two large softboxes behind Sarah on each side to create the highlights wrapping around her edges. The third light is a large beauty dish about a foot higher than Sarah just above and to the left of my camera. The two softboxes are about a stop or two higher power than the beauty dish so that the wrap around lighting is brighter than the light on her face.
