MONTANA PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER – BABU PORTRAIT #2

This is the second photo in my portrait series of my brother in law Kaushik “Babu” Mukherjee. Babu stayed with us in Billings Montana for three weeks and during that span we did several portrait sessions together. Some of our sessions were short, such as this one where Babu is lit with all natural window light in my studio. Other sessions were more complex with intricate studio lighting, such as the first Babu portrait I featured here. We had a lot of fun and I think Babu learned a lot more about photography than he ever wanted too! Thank you Babu!

Tip for photographers: This photo is lit with all natural window light. Babu is standing only a couple of feet from the window and there is an 4’x8’ white reflector to his right (camera left). That’s it!

#REDAPPLE BEHIND THE SCENES PORTRAIT

Behind the scenes on one of our four #redapple photo shoots.  Here you can see Shadya (aka Shady, aka Shad, aka Shoddy) doing her hair and makeup thing with Arley Knerr, one of our beautiful models.  As a portrait photographer I was always on the lookout for beautiful light for our BTS portraits.  We did all four photo shoots in or around Billings Montana.  The show at Bin 119 was a huge success, thanks to everyone came out to support local artwork.  We’re already getting started on the next big thing and will continue raising the bar for photography, art, fashion and advertising in Billings Montana.

MONTANA PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER - LITTLE SIS

My little sis right after crushing a header for the camera.  Click through the photo to see full resolution details, such as flying sweat.  It’s really cool how flash can freeze action.  Normally I think she’d be somewhat out of focus due to how fast she was moving, even at 125th of a second.  But the super short flash duration freezes the action even without a fast shutter.  It’s fun to play with.
